carbon 4 runner cable wear

Postby hock » Fri Jul 30, 2010 9:46 am

my carbon 4 runner gets a max of 2 seasons out of a cable before the serving gets real messy at the turnover section of my cam. It also looks as though there is contact being shown by wear on the side of the cable which leads me to believe that the cam is not rolling true. Since I have no HCA dealers in my area can the bow be sent after this season and be inspected by HCA. And if sent to HCA are there any parts left in storage that could be used in a repair, or would the bow be better suited as a door stop??

Have you checked the cams for maybe a burr on them, sometimes this happens when we lay it down or set it on the ground and it makes just a small burr on your cam and can eat away at you cable. Just thought I would throw that out there to maybe help a little. God Bless!!!!

:( Does anyone from HC read this stuff. I would have thought they would have interested departments reading this site to see if they could help.
I'm basically asking if I can still send my bow directly to the company, maybe HC can make a buck or two with an inspection and repair.
